The BEST day so far!

Hey everyone,

Okay listen up! This blog is pretty much amazing or at least I think so. It is 7:00pm here Corey called and I couldn't talk to him I was really sad, but hopefully after writting this blog I will be happy again because it is awesome! Okay Okay! I got to give my TESTIMONY at Church yesterday morning. Dr. Jaoko my teacher translated word for word. I spoke slowly and told them about how I was premature when I was little and how God placed him hands upon me, and my relationships weren't the greatest in HS, and how through out my life everything is fora reasoning and a purpose. I told them that sometimes we have to go through trails and tributes to recieve God's blessings. I told them that Corey was my gift my blessing. He is and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. After church I felt like a celebretiy the people crowded me wanting to hear more about my story and wanting to here more about Corey. By the way the way Dr. Jaoko's great aunt wanted a ticket to my wedding! I thought that was sweet. They shook my hand after church and it was traditional for me to walk down the aisle with the Preacher before church and after church because I was part of the church session. I felt special. I prayed with the preacher and obviosuly he didn't speak English he didnt speak Swahili he spoke their Village Langauge Luaru. And that is what Jaoko translated while I gave my testimony. They loved it when I told them that my fiance is like their preacher..they related and that gave them an understanding to my story and Corey and I's ministry together. It was wonderful experience! Okay...after church we went and ate at Roseline's house/village (we had Chapti Chicken that she just slautered that morning which she missed church just to cook us food and prepare it). After that we ate some more at his other's sisters house. We had chicken and chapti there and drinks. Everywhere we go we eat and visit. That night for dinner I was so sick of Kenya food I had icecream and fruit lol. Okay next thing. We got greeted at a Disabled Children's home so far my favoirte place. They have nothing and are disabled can you imagine? I have pictures to prove their beautiful smiles they are so happy even though they do not even know their lifestyle is (sad can't think of word for this)... They sang to us and we sang with them. THis Children's home was Catholisim.
Since, they sang a song for us we sang a song for them. We sang Amazing Grace and I led it (singing and signing). I told them before we sang that I had a disability too I told them that I had hard hearing and I could relate to them. So I showed them a good way to use my disablity by signing to amazing grace. It was fun! They laughed and clapped and chuckled. It was beautiful. I met a little girl name Alice, Selen, Samwel, and a little boy that wanted to be in every picture. They LOVE taking pictures with us. We show them the pics we take of them and they love it! I can not wait to show you pictures of this day. After that we stopped at a PUB to help out our new friend Jack who is drunk on Moonshine everytime we see him (HAHAH he so funny!) he kisses our hands and blows us kisses gives us googly eyes). We stopped there and then long before we know people notice us (kids) and they see that we are American of coarse LOTS of kids surround our vechile so we started passing out Tootse Pops and they LOVED THEM!!!!!! We took their pictures of coarse and Diana and I took their picture from one side of the van to the other. We see Jack just about everyday to help him in everyway we can.
We went back and rested for the evening after a long Sunday.
Today was a Holiday here when Kenya gained their Independence and shops were closed today/ Today, we also went to a Children's Home and got to place soccer and kicked the ball in a circle with the little and the little guys. The Children's home held about 45 kids. Some were in boarding school. I met a little girl name Lucy and she was so cute and loud and hyper! (just like me). I had fun playing with the kids today and spending time with them. After we took the tour of the Children's home we realized that some of their beds did not have matresses so we went close by to a store and we all put our mmoney together to buy 5 matresses, blankets, and pillows for the children. Anyone contributed to this trip this shows that you gave your money to a good cause :o) for the Children's home as well. I can't think of any more to write... I miss everyone and I am homesick and I miss American food BAD (thought of Panchos today Corey take me out to eat when I get home).
I forgot to tell you that during church the message was over Is 11:1-9 and that was my dfaily reading for that morning how cool is that! It was neat! Core how are you doing on daily reading? I am on Is 13. Keep me reading! Dyl, I am readin the SHACK it is good book to read while I am over here. Words from the book the Shack kindly relates to what is going in my life right now...
(Page 184) "Those who love me (Jesus) come from every system that exists. They were Buddists or Mormon, Baptists, or Muslim; som are Democrats, some Republicians and many don't vote or are not part of any Sunday morning orreligious insitution. I have followersa who were murders and many who were self-righteous. Some are bankers and bookies Americans and Iraqis Jews Palestinians. I have no desire to make them Christians but I do want to join them in their transformations into Sons and Daughters of my Papa (God), into my brothers and sisters, in my beloved."

I love that quote it spoke tome through what I have seen these past weeks. Love you all! Good to hear from everyone! Miss everyone! HUGS! LOVE U!
Love always Jessica
