Friends and Family,
I have had the opportunity to read several letters that I have recieved from people back at home and here in Campbellsville. I enjoy going to mail box knowing that I might have letters filled with love and prayers! I am so blessed to have a Christian family to back me up with this trip. Sometimes we can not do things on our own and that is why we have fellow believers to help us a long the way! I am greatful for the one's that listen to their hearts and obey what God wants them to do. That is why I am g oing to Kenya. God said you Go! I said alright I'm going! I was not sure what to do after he gave me his words of affirmation. I mean what do say to God you can not say no!
First off, I just would like to say thank you and thank you is not enough! Thank you for contributes and prayers! It means a lot to me and your offerings are going to a great cause! I will let you guys know how I am doing financally just check out the blog once a week or more if you'd like to know how things are going. That is what this blog if for, for you guys!
I would like to take some time and thank God especially for giving me the strength, time, and energy to make this happen! Without him we are nothing. My friends here have been a big help! One day, I was talking to one of my good friends and I was telling her about my trip. How I am praying for the Lord to provide and she gave me this verse --Psalms 34:9-11 (NLT) "Fear the Lord, you his godly people, even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. Come my children, and listen to me and I teach you to fear the Lord." How awesome is that verse? It speaks to me that God will provide we have to trust him with everything not just say it but mean it within our hearts. It is so easy to speak but mean it comeplety different. God wants our hearts are you giving him yours compleltly? Remember that God takes care of his children. I know he does I have witnessed it! I believe that God will provide the money, love, support, and the trip! I can not wait to see what he is going to do while I am there!
For my next blog I am going to be covering a book that I have been reading daily it is a devotional on how to prepare your heart for a Mission Trip. This book is called, CALLED MISSION TRIP DEVOTIONS & JOURNAL. Shew it is a challenge book and this weekend is about the THINGS UNSEEN. I will talk later on about my God time and how he is speaking to me through this devotional. Feel free to comment as much as you'd like and just enjoy the blog! Be blessed!
